Guest Room
Attendants work in a dangerous environment and have
had no options in the past. Surveillance cameras
and roving Security Officers are helpful but very
limited as to what they can actually do to safe-guard
Guest Room Attendants. Surveillance cameras often
give evidence of a crime, but usually after the
incident. Security patrols cannot cover every floor,
every room, all the time. Criminal activity is increasing
in every facet of society. Unfortunately, Hotels
and Resorts are not exempt from this activity.
In the past Guest Room Attendants have been intimidated,
propositioned and assaulted by individuals while
cleaning guest rooms. Doors are propped open with
a simple door stop, towel, waste receptacle…etc.
An individual, whether registered to that room or
not, can enter the room and close the door behind
them, trapping a Guest Room Attendant inside. The
trauma from an incident like the aforementioned
can be devastating to a Guest Room Attendant and
the entire Housekeeping Department.
These incidents often result in costly Workman’s
Comp claims, loss of work-time and even negative
publicity about your property.
The Door Sentry was invented by Security Specialists
to deter criminal activity from happening to Guest
Room Attendants performing housekeeping duties.
It is a proven fact that criminals are less likely
to commit a crime with an open door to a room or
an entire structure. Employers have an obligation
to provide the safest work environment possible.
The Door Sentry will prove to be a valuable asset
to your Housekeeping Department and your company.
You can make no greater commitment to your valuable
staff. |
